1. General use
Creatica provides a platform for creating and managing background designs and patterns. Users must use the app in a responsible and lawful manner. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account information and for all activities under their account. Users must be at least 13 years old to use the app.
2. Attribution & intellectual property
- Ownership of app content: All content provided on Creatica, including but not limited to the user interface, software is the property of Creatica or its content suppliers and is protected by intellectual property laws, excluding the generated backgrounds. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use Creatica for personal and commercial purposes, subject to the terms outlined below.
- User-generated designs: Designs created by users using Creatica are owned by the users who created them. Users are free to use these designs for both personal and commercial purposes.
- Attribution: Attribution is appreciated but not required. Designs generated with Creatica may be used for personal and commercial purposes without crediting Creatica, though a credit link (for example in the footer of your website or a comment in the source code) is always welcome.
- Prohibited uses: You may not use content from Creatica in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation with Creatica without our explicit permission. Additionally, you may not distribute, or sell any design templates provided by Creatica as standalone items.
- Respect for third-party rights: Users must ensure that their designs do not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others. Creatica is not responsible for any legal issues arising from user-generated content.
3. Free service
Creatica is fully free and open. All background generators, customization features, and exports are available to everyone at no cost — no subscription, payment, or account is required.
4. Hosted API
The hosted API and remote MCP server are optional paid services with their own usage quotas, described on the pricing page. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time from the dashboard and remain active until the end of the current billing period.
5. Open-source packages
The engine, schema, CLI and MCP packages are published under the MIT licence. Their licence terms govern your use of that code.
